Filkins and Broughton Poggs are organising a fun day on the paddock by the village hall and everyone is invited from all our surrounding villages.
We are starting at 12 noon on the paddock with a 24’ climbing wall- this is for young and old alike. Kids challenge mum and dad to reach the top first- if you dare!! This will be open until
5pm but will close while the duck race is on. There will also be a “digger” bouncy castle for the smaller ones.
We also have the 2nd Filkins and Broughton Poggs Duck Race - ducks are on sale
Cash prizes are awarded for 1st in each heat and the final. See next page for details. Prize giving will be held on the paddock and this will be followed by Cream Teas made by the WI.
Come and enjoy the afternoon with us I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Have you bought your duck yet?
The great race takes place on 12th July at Broughton Poggs Mill at 2pm.
There are cash prizes for 4 heat winners and overall winners.
Come and watch Elvis duck float his way to the finish line and bet on where he will be placed.

ITV Productions

ITV want to hear from the ladies of rural Britain for a makeover programme with a twist!
Are you an active member of your village community?
Perhaps you are a bell ringer, farmer or a farmer’s wife, supporter of women’s societies, a parish councillor, the village eccentric, the proprietor of the village tea rooms or even the
producer of the local prize-winning preserves?
Does your role in village society define or restrict the way you dress?
Perhaps you take pride in your appearance but stick to your comfort zone for fear of getting it wrong?
Whether you prefer pearls and cashmere or tweed and wellies, we want to hear
from you.
And for those who wouldn’t naturally put themselves forward, but are intrigued to hear more, please do get in touch.
