Blue Plaque Unveiling

Saturday 7th July saw the unveiling of a Blue Plaque honouring Sir Stafford Cripps at the Village Centre. Sir Stafford, a Second World War cabinet minister lived with his family in the village for many years and was a benefactor to the community in many ways, from providing facilities such as the swimming pool and bowls club (still very popular) to ensuring that the post war housing was built in traditional Cotswold stone.
