Filkins Swimming Pool

Open May to September

Filkins outdoor swimming pool is situated near the Bowling Green and the Museum in the centre of the village

The pool is managed by Filkins Swimming Club.

Individual or Family Membership is available through Filkins Post Office, Cotwold Woollen Weavers or from any member of the committee.

Non-members may purchase Day Tickets provided that, when using the Pool, they are accompanied by a Member at all times.

Thank you to everyone who supported us last year (2007). We had a good year, but it was a shame that the weather was not better.

We will be undertaking some work on the pool before it opens in May 2008 but we regret that heating will not be one of these items. A lottery grant was applied for but turned down.

The committee have discussed heating in great depth and have decided this project will not be looked into again. The logisitics of heating combined with the extra work of removal/covering the pool are not feasible.

Besides... Would Filkins' Pool be the same if it wasn't cold!
