Updating The Parish Plan December 2005

In 2005 the Village Plan Committee of volunteers published the results of it's work during 2004 and 2005 to produce a Parish Plan with guidance from ORCC, the Oxfordshire Rural Community Council. The intention of the Action Plan was to publicise, promote and, as far as possible, realise the wishes of our residents for a variety of projects and changes in the village following extensive survey questionnaires answered by 222 adults, 19 young persons and 21 businesses. The Village Shop, the Book Club and the Gardening Club all arose out of the Parish Plan and all of the actions proposed in the Plan were adopted by the Parish Council which agreed to support and progress these aims over a 5 year period. The Plan is being reinstalled on the new village website so that if you were not in the village in 2005 you will be able to read it there and a limited number of paper copies are also still available from Keith Perry. It is now time to consider whether there is the support in the village to update the Plan and produce new targets. Current ORCC advice is that a new Village Plan would be called a "Community Led Plan" and it may well have increased significance in the future under the planning policy changes being considered by the current government. Please let Cris Hoad or Keith Perry know if you are interested in being involved.
