Filkins Village Shop
The Filkins Village Shop offers a wealth of everday groceries, locally sourced produce, freshly baked bread & cakes and other useful household items.
A community owned enterprise; the shop has been running for over 6 years now. It is operated by our community and run for our mutual benefit.
The shop is open 7 days a week by a mixture of paid staff and volunteers.

Volunteering
If you have some time on your hands (even if it is only an hour or two) you can volunteer to help in the Shop. If you would like to help, please speak to any of the shop staff.
Become a Shareholder
For the small sum of £10, you can become a shareholder in our Village Shop.
Being a shareholder gives you the right to help decide the Shop's future and to have a say in how it is run. Each person can buy a single share in the shop. Those under 18 can give a £10 loan which will be converted into a share on their 18th birthday. Please ask any member of the Shop's staff for more details.
Spreading the Word
Nothing is better for a business than a personal recommendation. Tell you friends and relatives about the shop and (if they are also local) encourage them to come along. We are sure that they will enjoy the experience and be made very welcome by our friendly team.
Fund Raising
We sometimes have fundraising events. Details will be posted here and in the shop. You can come along and support us or offer to help at the event.
Donating
You can offer a donation to the Shop's funds. Sometimes vital equipment breaks down or simply wears out. We need to service all our equipment and sometimes replace it. Any help toward this end would be most gratefully received.
